Mr. Phirum Sophoan Bou is a Partner at BNG Legal and Head of the Tax & Accounting Practice Group.
Phirum holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from the National University of Management. Phirum got a Certified Public Accountant (ACCA) in Cambodia, and he is an Affiliate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from United Kingdom, focusing on International Financial Reporting Standards, Financial Management, Business Analysis, Corporate Governance and Taxation.
Phirum is bound by the professional code of conduct set forth by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Prior to joining BNG Legal, Phirum spent more than seven years working in internal control management with various organizations. His previous employers include: the state power utility, Electricity Du Cambodge (EDC), where he served as Assistant Internal Auditor; a leading casino and entertainment company, Nagaworld, where he served as Senior Internal Auditor; and as Internal Auditor on a project funded by the World Bank.
Phirum practices in the areas of compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, Taxation and Internal Control Systems.
Phirum speaks Khmer and English.
